The Grande Albergo Ausonia & Hungaria is one of the most prestigious hotels in Venice Lido. Its more attracting feature is the imposing façade, the first in Europe to be completely covered by polychrome majolica: an Italian masterpiece of Liberty style. The building, dating back to 1905, still contains a great part of the original furniture made by the famous ebonist Eugenio Quarti.The recent refurbishment has restored its original splendour by bringing to light the frescoes and the internal decorations of the time.
